Astronomy
is one of my favorite subjects to study, this is a science that studies the
celestial bodies of the universe such as planets, satellites, comets and
asteroids. It is also interested in interstellar matter such as stars, nebulae,
galaxies and dark matter. Perhaps one of the most interesting topics studied is
related to extraterrestrial life. In short, astronomy is the science of the
physical universe at the macro level that studies the events that occur in it.
Since I was
very young, I had always liked mathematics and when I entered high school, they
started to teach us Physics. From the first moment I was fascinated with the
physical explanations about how the world worked, but unfortunately at school
we never got to pass subjects related to astronomy. So, in the summers, due to
my enchantment with physics, I started to research and learn a lot about
astronomy, until in the summer of 2017 I took a "Planetary Sciences"
course. From that I fell in love with the subject, at first, I thought that
astronomy was just looking at the sky and drawing stars to name them, but as I
was learning I understood that it is a much more complex subject, and it is
strongly related to mathematics and physics. From that I learned a lot about
how the planets are formed, their characteristics, what is necessary for life
to exist, the development of the stars, the movement of the stars and how to
identify them in the sky, in addition to improving my mathematical knowledge, I
learned new formulas and functions.
I think
what I like the most is that it is very satisfying when you can understand some
astronomical theory and see how it is intertwined with other theories that
allow you to understand how the world works, from the simplest to the most
complex. Besides the fact that looking at the sky is very nice; I like to think
about everything that is out there and that we are not as big as we think we
are.
I've also liked astronomy since I was a kid! I find it very fascinating, star gazing is my favorite hobby <3
ResponderEliminarAstronomy is a fascinating subject!
ResponderEliminarastronomy should be taught in school, it's unfortunate.
ResponderEliminarExcellent
ResponderEliminarit is incredible the interest that awakens in many of us the knowledge of the universe, but I also love to be able to relate it to what happens on earth, very good blog.
